Sun & Concrete is a feature film directed by David Wnendt, based on the bestselling autobiographical novel by Felix Lobrecht. Set in the brutal housing estates of Berlin-Marzahn during the 1990s, the story follows four teenagers navigating loyalty, survival and the search for identity in a world defined by poverty, violence and the lack of visible futures.

As Senior Video Editor, I was responsible for the complete development of the international film marketing campaign, including the primary theatrical trailer and a set of character-driven promotional pieces designed to introduce the film's protagonists to international audiences ahead of its worldwide release.

The editorial approach was built around emotional precision — each piece required a distinct pacing strategy that honoured the raw, naturalistic tone of the original film while translating its impact into concise, commercially effective promotional assets. Working closely with the production team, I developed a master editorial language that was then applied across the full campaign, ensuring consistency between the theatrical trailer and the individual character spots.

All editorial work was completed in Avid Media Composer, with color finishing in DaVinci Resolve and delivery packages produced to international theatrical distribution standards.
